Middle east is the home of some of the tallest building in the world. United Arab emirate has an incredible amount o these f tall buildings. The middle east has about 30 skyscrapers. The tallest building in the whole world is in Dubai and the future tallest building that is said to surpass the current tallest building is also in the middle east (Jordan). From this, we can see that the middle east seems to be following the tallest building trend. Below, we shall be considering the tallest building in the middle east.
BURJ KHALIFA (2,722 ft)
Burj Khalifa is not just the tallest building in the middle east but the tallest building in the world. The building is 2,722ft tall with 163 storeys with 57 elevators and a floor space that is about 3.2 mn sq ft. It achieved its fit in 2009 and is expected to be surpassed in 2020. Burj Khalifa was constructed with about $1.5 billion. It surpassed Taipei to become the world tallest building burj khalifa at the top tickets. Burj Khalifa is located in Dubai, United Arab emirate and it holds many records which include highest occupied floor, tallest building, highest observation deck, highest nightclub etc. The building construction began in 2004 and was completed in 2011. ABRAJ AL-BAIT CLOCK TOWER
Abraj Al-Bait Clock Tower is located in Saudi Arabia and is currently the third tallest building in the world which has the world largest clock face. Even though it is the third tallest building in the world, it is currently the most expensive building in the world built with about $15 billion which is about ten times the price of the current tallest building in the world. It stands at 1972 feet tall with 96 elevators and 120 storeys. Abraj Al-Bait Clock Tower was built on a location where the historic Ottoman Ajyad Fortress stood and the construction of the building started in 2004 and was completed in 2011.
PRINCESS TOWER
Princess tower is located in Dubai with about 1358 feet. It is the 22nd tallest building in the world and the 3rd currently in Dubai. It uses to be the world tallest resident building between 2012 to 2015 but was later surpassed by 432 park avenue. The structure consists of 13 elevators and 103 storeys and from estimation, it cost about $210 million.
AL HAMRA TOWER
Al Hamra Tower which is located in the Kuwait City, Kuwait is one of the tallest building in the middle east and currently the 23rd tallest building in the world. It was constructed between 2005 to 2011 with about $500 million. It has 43 elevators and consists of 80 storeys. Around 2012, it was the finest and tall building in the east and Africa. Al Hamra Tower consists of a shopping mall and office space standing at 1,352 feet.
MARINA 101
This tower is located in Dubai with about 1,422 feet. It consists of a hotel, restaurants and residential apartments. The first 33 floor of the building is a five-star hotel while the rest floors are residential space. It is the third tallest skyscraper in the middle east and the fifth in the world. This structure was opened official in 2016 but the construction of this building was completed in 2017.
From the above, we can see that the middle east is the home of the building. We also have some of the tallest building under constructions and many more are been considered to be put in place.
